And so it goes…

Angela Fields

Trailing along, the stumbles of each day stacked as high as they will go, like pennies in your purse.

Lengths you traveled and spaces you've shared. The words of Yours that linger.

The options that you have selected and the consequences

of those you didn't. Efforts to forge and pass on titles.

The practice and patience you made to get there,

somewhere. A mention and a memory;

evidence of us scattered on a breeze,

The footprints that indented lightly.

Our shadow towers that loom

along the world's horizon,

But then, the sun

inevitably

climbs to

noon.
