What Route We Chose for Our Departing

Gary H. Howard

Those memories that speak to us
May only be imposters

They may have only by accident
Been right once

When our minds heard our names
Or responded to faint whispers

Uttered by voices that
No consciousness could ever claim

When I died today
I realized how truth
Can emerge only temporarily

It is always clearly
Only for others

For those who will describe us
Who will represent to time
And the world

What route we chose
For our departing
